By Our Correspondent,Tansen, Mar. 14: A well-equipped administrative building for Bagnaskali Rural Municipality has been completed.
The administrative building, located at Chilangdi of Baganaskali Rural Municipality-1, Chirtungdhara, is equipped with a lift. The construction cost of the building was completed with Rs. 64.7 million -- 40 per cent of which came from the rural municipality and 60 per cent from federal government’s contribution.
An agreement was inked with the contractor company, New Dragon RR JV, for the construction of the building on February 20, 2022. As per the terms of the contract, the construction work has been completed within the stipulated timeframe.
The land of Bhairab Mandir Community Forest has been leased for 25 years to facilitate the construction of the building. Municipal engineer Pramod Kunwar said that out of the rural municipality's total land area of three ropani and 11 annas, the building has been constructed within 11 annas.
He said that the newly built building is disable-friendly and an elevator has been installed to go to the upper floors. The building is the first government office in the district with an elevator.
After completing the construction of the building, the municipality said that service will be started soon from the new facility. At present, the municipality is providing services from the temporary building of Chirtungdhara in Ward No. 1 of the rural municipality.
Saraswati Chidi, chairperson of the rural municipality, said that service delivery will be more effective from the new building and accessible to all residents within the rural municipality.
According to the rural municipality, the new building has rooms as per the sections, quarters for elected representatives and various other facilities.
