Mahajatra team embarking on Maha comedy journey

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Feb. 24: ‘Mahajatra'’is all set to embark on a Maha Comedy Yatra, a film promotion journey organised by its production team. 

Producer Max Dipesh Khatri announced that the event would occur in two phases starting from March 4, aiming to engage with audiences across various cities in the country before the film’s release.

“We will be visiting different cities to interact with the audience before the film’s release. Our team, comprising actors from the movie and comedians from reality shows, will conduct interviews and entertain the audience,” said Khatri.

The tour will feature actors Hari Bansha Acharya, Bipin Karki, Rabindra Singh Baniya, Rabindra Jha and Rajaram Paudel and actress Barsha Raut.

The Maha Comedy Yatra will kick off from Pokhara on March 4, followed by a stop in Butwal on March 5 and Dhangadhi on March 8. 

The second phase will commence from Birtamod on March 13, with performances scheduled for Itahari on March 14, Hetauda on March 16 and Narayangadh on March 17.

Actress Deepashree Niraula along with comedians Suman Karki, Mexam Gaudel, Kailash Karki, Sajan Shrestha, Suman Koirala, Prabhat Lama and Santosh Thapa, alongside contestants from the third season of Comedy Champion, will entertain the audience with various performances during the tour. 

Following the commercial and critical success of ‘Jatra’ and ‘Jatrai Jatra,’ written and directed by Pradip Bhattarai, ‘Mahajatra’ marks the third instalment in the series.

Actor Haribansha Acharya joins the cast this time.

The film revolves around the theme of money management, depicting three characters facing various challenges while attempting to conceal money.

The film is set to be screened simultaneously in Nepal and abroad on March 22.

The film features an ensemble cast including Hari Bansha Acharya, Bipin Karki, Rabindra Singh Baniya, Rabindra Jha, Barsha Raut, Arjun Jung Shah, Prakash Ghimire, Rajaram Poudel, Divyadev, Suman Karki, Shishir Wangdel, Gaumaya Gurung, and others.

The film is produced by Max Dipesh Khatri and Yagyashwor Poudel. 

Purushottam Pradhan is the cinematographer and Kumar Majarjan is the fight director of the film.
