Indefinite curfew imposed in Birgunj

By Deepak Prasad Gautam, Birgunj, Feb 20: The indefinite curfew that was imposed by the District Administration Office Parsa in Birgunj from 5 pm this evening was lifted for four hours on Tuesday morning has been clamped again. 

As per the DAO notice, a curfew that was imposed in the area up to Nagawa Chowk in the east, Tilawe Pul in the west, Parwanipur in the north and up to Miteri Pul (custom area) in the south in Monday evening was lifted from 6 AM to 10 Am in Wednesday morning citing the convenience of the locals has been indefinitely imposed again.

Chief District Officer of Parsa Dinesh Sagar Bhusal said that till the next order, an indefinite curfew has been clamped.

As per the notice issued by DAO signed by Chief District Officer of Parsa Dinesh Sagar Bhusal that the indefinite curfew was imposed as per the Local Administration Act, 2028(1971), Section 6(A), and action with be taken in case of noncompliance.

Issuing a notice DAO Parsa on Tuesday evening has urged denizens to not publish any kind of news that instigates conflict.

The curfew order was imposed in Birgunj as there was a situation of conflict and clash during the demonstration of Hindu Samaj.
