Kathmandu, Feb 19: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma has said the state-owned media houses should bridge the government and people adding that the narrative of state-run media being one-sided was wrong.
In her message on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary today, Minister Sharma said the government wants to alter the established narrative of the state-run media being one-sided.
"Now, the state-owned media should perform the role of taking government policies, decisions and messages to the people and people's voices to the government, according to Minister Sharma.
She has expressed the confidence that RSS would pay attention in becoming self-reliant by increasing its income after exploring additional sources of income and maximum utilizing available human resources and physical property.(RSS)
