Two dead, 16 injured in accident (Identity of deceased revealed)

By TRN Online, Tanahun, Feb 19: Two people died and 16 were injured when a jeep carrying members of a wedding party met with an accident this morning in the inner road section of Aanbukhaireni Rural Municipality, Giraunchor, Tanahun. 

According to the District Police Office, Tanahun, the deceased are identified as 72-year-old Aashbir Gurung of Aanbukhaireni Rural Municipality-6, and 17-year-old Tulsi Gurung of Byas Municipality-9, Gajoude. Aashbir died on the spot while Tulsi died in the course of treatment at New Medical College in Chitwan. 

A Bolero jeep with a registration number (Ba 18 Cha 5921) en route to the inner road section along Baradi-Hilekharka got into a fatal accident killing two passengers. 

Mohan Bahadur Khand, Deputy Superintendent of Police of the District Police Office, Tanahun, said that the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained. The Bolero jeep lost control and veered off around 500 meters down the road.

According to Police, as many as 16 people have sustained injuries and have been receiving treatment at various hospitals.
