By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 30: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has held a discussion about giving ‘business’ to the parliament that is being held on February 5 with the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.
Calling out officials of the ministry at the office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on Tuesday afternoon, PM Prachanda discussed the bill to be presented in the upcoming parliamentary session.
Amid the review of the earlier parliamentary convention about not being able to play an effective role in making laws, the PM stressed that about giving ‘business’ to parliament and making bills more effective.
Directing the Ministry in the meeting, the PM said, “There is a review that the HoR was not able to make exemplary laws. There is a side that the government did not give business, but, it should not be repeated in the upcoming parliament."
The PM said, “Prepare a way that numerous bill gets registered as soon as parliament starts. The Chief Secretary please, follow it up.”
The PM said to coordinate with the Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs to all ministries while making a bill. Make a good preparation. Business should be given properly to the upcoming HoR and head to work in such a way no complaints are made.
Saying that bills that have been legally tested and carry financial obligation should be sent to parliament Chief Secretary Dr. Baikuntha Aryal directed to make necessary preparations.
