‘I will cut my tree’ campaign to curb monkey menace

By Santosh Subedi, Kaski, Jan 30: The Pokhara Metropolitan City-19, Lamachaur, has started to cut down trees with a target to curb monkeys.

Pushpendra Pandey, ward chair said that the Puranchaur area of Pokhara Metropolitan City-19 Lamachaur is affected by the menace of monkeys.

Ward chair Pandey said that cutting trees in the house's premises would assist the government as policies relating to control monkeys were passed in the current fiscal year 2080/81. 

“Residents of the ward have been urged to support the policies and programs of the Provincial government by cutting down trees in a nearby surrounding and help in curbing the entry of monkeys around the house premise by running a campaign, ‘I will cut my tree’, within 10 days of the publication of the notice,” mentioned the notice.
