In pictures: New Road after parking ban

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 23: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has banned parking in the New Road area from Tuesday.

The KMC has prohibited parking on a black-topped road in the New Road Area.  

A team of KMC Police had removed all the parked vehicles from the area on Tuesday morning. They took the vehicles of those who did not comply or went away after parking as a form of punishment. 

Dharmapath, New Road, Statue of Juddha Shumsher to road section to Indrachowk area, Khichapokhari, Mahabouddha and areas near Bir Hospital are no-parking areas now onwards. 

The businessmen have resorted to protest by shutting down all shutters following the action of KMC saying that the flow of customers will go down if parking is restricted in the area.
