By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 22: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has pledged according proper priority to complete the national pride and other projects in time by making special arrangements in the government policy and programmes as well as the annual budget.

Taking a virtual stock of the Sikta Irrigation Project and Mahakali Irrigation Project (Phase III) on Monday afternoon from the action room of the office of Prime Minister, PM Prachanda said, “The National Pride Projects and other projects are badly affected because of lack of prioritization in the yearly budget. The quality is compromised because of inadequate budget, and physical and financial progress does not look satisfactory. This in turn extends time and investment on the project. This time this anomaly will be ended.”

Saying that the government will address the policy level and inadequate budget issues,  the PM directed the chiefs to take result-oriented action in the field.

The PM said, “We will resolve problems related to policy and budget issues. You people work in the fields. Do not extend time and create additional liabilities by extending the timeline of projects. Please, work by taking into account these things seriously.”

Referring to improved economic situations, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Shakti Bahadur Basnet, said that payment of the construction entrepreneurs has been eased. Now, the infrastructure development and financial progress of the projects will gain momentum.
