Bhimad jeep accident: one dead

Damauli (Tanahu), Jan 10: A person was killed in a jeep accident that occurred at Sunakot of Bhimad municipality-5 in Tanahu today.

The District Police Office, Tanahu is yet to confirm the identity of the deceased. Office information officer Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mohan Bahadur Khand, said the injured died amidst the treatment at the GP Koirala National Centre for Respiratory Diseases.    

The passenger jeep (Ga 1 Ja 6356) fell some 150 meters off the road near a turning at Baralthumki. A total of 12 people including the driver were travelling in the jeep. Three have been referred to Pokhara for treatment. Police said investigation into the accident is underway.  (RSS)
