Car hit kills two pedestrians in Pokhara

By Ramesh Poudel, Pokhara, Dec 26: Two pedestrians have died after being hit by a car on Tuesday morning in Pokhara. 

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shrawan BK, Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Kaski, said that a car with a registration number (Ba 13 Cha 3721) heading towards Zero kilometers from Baglung Bus Park hit two pedestrians to death.

The deceased has been identified as a 20-year-old Dhalendra Chhantyal, of Dhorpatan Municipality-6 Baglung, currently living in Nadipur, and an unidentified 35-year-old male. 

Police said that both the critically injured by a car hit died in the course of treatment at the Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences (PoAHS). 

The driver of the car has absconded and the car is under police control. 

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
