By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec. 18: Prime
Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has virtually inspected from the action
room located at Singh Durbar the construction of the Narayangadh-Butwal road
section along the East-West Highway and the Mugling-Pokhara road section along
the Prithvi Highway.
During the virtual inspection today, he took stock of the construction progress and
remarked that the 'projects have not moved ahead as expected and that there is
no situation to be satisfied. Our role has to be increased qualitatively.'
"It is our responsibility to solve minor problems such as gravel, sand, stone and electricity. And solving problems related to these is under our control," said Prime Minister Prachanda, according to the PM's secretariat.
The field office should report to the concerned authority in time. If
reports arrive on time, solutions can be found easily. The situation where
people have to bear the hassle daily for the under-construction
projects should be ended," said the PM.
"Now onwards, the progress of the projects should be made based on the milestone indexes", said the PM, "No excuse can be
produced for the failure to achieve the target."
Prime Minister Prachanda noted that the two projects are critical and that they should be completed in time. "I will come to the field to inspect the work progress. I will allocate more time for development works now."
He stressed the need to work in two shifts on the national pride projects and urged
the concerned authority to do serious homework.
This is the last chance to work. Let's utilize this
opportunity. Now no one has the chance to make excuses for the lack of
improvement and progress, said the Prime Minister.
