Kathmandu, Dec 7: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Basanta Bahadur Kunwar returned home after attending the 91st General Assembly of INTERPOL held in Vienna, Austria.

Kunwar and INTERPOL Nepal section chief SP Anupam Shumsher JBR returned home
after participating in the general assembly hosted by the INTERPOL Secretariat
from November 28 to December 1.
On the sidelines of the general
assembly, the Nepali delegation headed by IGP Kunwar, also the chief of
National Central Bureau Nepal, had a courtesy call on INTERPOL
chairperson.
A discussion was held among the
chiefs of national central bureau of 195 INTERPOL members attending the general
assembly to collaborate for making the world secure, IGP Kunwar's secretariat
shared.
The general assembly has decided to
organize the 92nd general assembly in Glasgow of the United Kingdom in 2024 and
93rd general assembly in Morocco in 2024.
In the general assembly, senior sub
inspector Puruswottam Nepali who was successful in hoisting Nepal's national
flag, INTERPOL flag and Nepal Police flag in the world's highest summit, Mount
Everest, on the occasion of the 100 years of the establishment of INTERPOL was
honoured.
