Snowfall in Manang affects life

By Yadu Prasad Bhatta, Manang, Dec 5: The normal life of Manang has been affected due to the snowfall since Monday morning

This is the first snowfall of this season in the four local levels of the district.

Narpabhumi Rural Municipality's Chair Konjo Tenjing Lama informed that high-hilly areas of Manang have been witnessing heavy snowfall. 

"Farmers have become happy due to snowfall," he said. As snowfall takes place during the season of sowing wheat and millet, among others, farmers are happy. 

Chair of Disyang Rural Municipality Kanchha Ghale said that due to the snowfall tourists who reached upper Manang were forced to stay in hotels. 

He added that heavy snowfall covered all roads and Tilicho-bound tourists have lived in the roadside hotels.
