6.7 magnitude earthquake jolts Southern Philippines

Manila, Philippines, Nov 17: An earthquake of 6.7 magnitude hit Southern Philippines.

The U.S. Geological Survey revealed that the earthquake hit 26 kilometers (16 miles) from Burias at the Southern tip of the Philippines. Local officials have warned of potential damage from the earthquake.

However, the survey said that there was a low likelihood of casualties and damage. RSS/AFP
