India's Kohli equals Tendulkar's ODI centuries record

Nov. 5: Virat Kohli, on his 35th birthday, equalled Sachin Tendulkar's record for most ODI (One Day International) centuries (49) playing against South Africa today.

Virat Kohli peeled off his helmet, kissed his bat, and calmly saluted the crowd after reaching the milestone.

His 49th ODI century came in 277 innings. Sachin Tendulkar did it in 452.

It came off 119 balls with 10 fours.

Earlier, India won the toss and bat first in Kolkata. Both teams are through to the semi-finals and competing for the top spot.
