By Ramechhap Corespondent, Ramechhap Oct.31: More than 400 citizens have obtained a National Identity (ID) Card with biometric details in Ramechhap, in a period of three months.
District Administration Office, Ramechhap, said that after three years of taking details in the district, the distribution of National ID started on July 16, 2020.
Kumar Shrestha, Computer Operator of the District Administration Office, Ramechhap, said that 2,587 people who applied for National ID Cards on the first lot, 414 denizens have received National ID Cards so far.
He said, “More than 100,100 people of the district have applied for National ID Card. There was an application of 2,087 people, of them, 414 have received their National ID Card. There is a queue of people receiving and applying for the card.”
According to him, a message pings on the phone of the service receiver whenever the application gets approved and whenever the National ID Card is prepared. With this, service receiver can get their National ID in person after getting information on the phone’s message about its completion.
So far, there are more than 101,000 applicants for the National ID from the two Municipalities and six Rural Municipalities of the district.
District Administration Office, Ramechhap, said that 70,940 had applied for National ID Card in a mobile camp from all municipalities of the district from November 22, 2022 to March 17, 2023.
14,167 from Manthali Municipality, 10,611 from Ramechhap Municipality, and 9,703 Khandadevi Rural Municipality have applied for National ID Card through mobile camps.
Likewise, 8,147 from Doramba Shailung Rural Municipality, 7,169 from Sunapati Rural Municipality, 7,232 from Likhu Tamakoshi Rural Municipality, 7,901 from Gokulganga Rural Municipality, 6,010 from Umakunda Rural Municipality has applied for the card.
