UN Secretary-General Guterres received in Lalitpur as per Newari tradition

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct.30: The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has been welcomed by offering omens according to the Newari tradition at the United Nations building at Pulchowk, Lalitpur.

Guterres reached Pulchowk on Wednesday afternoon to attend the welcome reception being hosted at the UN building.  He was welcomed by children in Nepali dresses and was given an omen as per Newari tradition.

He did plantation on the premises of the UN building as well.

Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and representatives of the specialized agencies of the United Nations, and staff, attended the welcome reception organized by the United Nations Office in Nepal.
