By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct.5: The National Cricket Team of Nepal has returned home after participating in the 19th Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China.
The Nepali cricket team, which lost a match to India in the quarter-final returned home on Thursday afternoon.
While talking to the media after returning to the country, Nepali cricket team captain Rohit Kumar Paudel, said that the match went well even though the result was not entirely satisfactory.
He said that fielding in the last over was weak, because of which Nepal lost against India. He said that the team was excited over the world record.
Captain Paudel hopes to play against strong cricket teams in the future and said, “It will be easier to play in the future with enough practice.” “All the five games amid T20 selection were like finals.”
He said that the record-breaking performance of Dipendra Singh Airee made him ecstatic. The team is playing unitedly. This match gave us a good experience, which will be fruitful in future games.
The national Cricket team was welcomed at the Tribhuvan International Airport.
In the Asian games, the Nepali cricket team lost to India in the quarter-finals and was eliminated. Nepal had won against Mongolia in the first game and against Maldives in the second game with a good margin.
