13 people including three security personnel injured in scuffle

Nepalgunj, Oct 3: At least 13 people, including 13 security personnel were injured in a scuffle that ensued in some areas of Nepalgunj today despite enforcement of prohibition order.     

The injured are undergoing treatment in different health facilities.     

Issuing a press statement today, the District Administration Office, Banke said that security personnel of all security agencies in the district have been mobilized in a coordinated and effective manner for maintaining law and order in Nepalgunj.     

Local administration said nominal force was used by security personnel in the enforcement of prohibition order and the situation now has come under control.     

Local administration said it has expected crucial role from all political parties, civil society and citizens of the district in keeping social harmony and peace in the present situation.     

Talking to RSS Chief District Officer Bipin Acharya shared that the local administration had also taken assistance from the Nepal Army as per the Clause 6(2) of the Local Administration Act.     

The District Administration Office, Banke has enforced prohibition order for indefinite period since 1.00 pm Tuesday. (RSS)
