Shooting of ‘Mayavi’ begins

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Sept. 29: The shooting of  ‘Mayavi’ directed by Diwakar Bhattarai has begun. A few days ago, the production team reached Mustang and initiated the shooting of the movie.

The production team was preparing to shoot the film and was announcing the lineup of the main actors and the production team until a week ago.

Director Bhattarai revealed that the shooting of ‘Mayavi’ began at the Nilgiri Himal region and will showcase the picturesque locales of Pokhara. The filming schedule for the movie is expected to span 35 days.

The film's narrative is set in the backdrop of Pokhara. Deepika Prasain is the lead actress.

 The main male actors include Paul Shah, Sushil Sitaula, and model Samim Khan. Karisma Shrestha will also play a significant role as one of the lead actresses. Additionally, Prashant Tamrakar and Rajaram Poudel, along with other actors, will be part of the film's cast.

Actor Paul Shah is making his return to the silver screen after almost one and a half years with ‘Mayavi’ while Karisma is making her comeback after a considerable hiatus. Samim Khan, the winner of ‘Man Hunt International Nepal 2016’ is making his debut through this film.

‘Mayavi’ is being produced under the banner of Creative Cine Arts and features a story written by director Bhattarai himself, marking his return to directing after a gap of almost four years. The film's Director of Photography (DOP) is Raju Thapa, with music composed by SD Yogi and lyrics penned by Ram Abiral Bista.

 Chandra Pant and actor Raj Katuwal are producers of the film. Raj is about to step into production with the film 'Mayavi'.
