Nepathya embarks on its first musical tour to Canada

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Sept. 22:The renowned folk rock band, Nepathya, is embarking on its first-ever musical tour in Canada. 

The band will first perform at The Palace Theater in Calgary on October 1. This will be followed by a performance at The Vogue Theater in Vancouver on October 4.

According to a press statement issued by Nepalaya, the musical tour to Canada will conclude on October 8 at Toronto’s iconic Massey Hall.

Two months ago, after Massey Hall announced the schedule of the Nepathya concert through social media, Canadian-based Nepali writer Manjushree Thapa shared her elation through social media, read the press release. 

Since Nepalaya began managing Nepathya in 2002, it has performed 78 shows in 28 cities in 16 different countries.

  Canada is the 17th country where the popular band is all set to perform with the theme ‘Music for Humanity’.

Nepalaya ensures the band's presentations maintain their standards by including experienced technicians from both Nepal and overseas in the touring team.

Amrit Gurung, the band’s frontman, expresses gratitude towards the enthusiastic response from the Nepali diaspora in Canada. “Many fans are travelling from far-off cities in groups just to attend our concerts,” shared Amrit.

Accompanying Amrit on stage will be Dhruv Lama on drums, Suraj Thapa on keyboards, Suvin Shakya with the bass guitar, Niraj Gurung on the guitar, and Shanti Rayamajhi in Madal.
