Sept. 9: CPN (Maoist Center) activists of Tarakeshwor Municipality organised a
sanitation programme today as part of the 3-month long Maoist with People: Campaign
for Special Transformation.
The Maoist
cadres collected garbage scattered around the road and the street, swept and cleaned the road sides, uprooted the weeds in Loktantrik Chowk area of Tarakeshwor
Municipality-10 for three hours in the morning.
Some locals also joined the Maoist efforts for cleanliness in the street.
The sanitation programme was led by Lekh Nath Dahal 'Rajan' who is also a member of the House of Representatives (HoR) from Sindhuli. Rajan has been deputed by the party to supervise the campaign activities in the municipality during the campaign.
Speaking in
the conclusion of the programme, leader Dahal said that the Maoist campaign is
to connect the party with the people, inform the people about the government's
initiatives for good governance, social justice and prosperity while also
seeking people's suggestions for both the party and the government.
"We also have to expose those who misused political, social power for their personal benefits and those who were involved in corruption," said Dahal.
