blog

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Aug. 15: Film ‘Rangeli Gangsters’ has now been renamed simply as ‘Rangeli’.  Issuing a press statement on Monday, the film unit informed about the change.

According to the press statement, the title alteration is aimed at fostering a positive, united, and respectful environment within the community. The decision to rename the film was influenced by a consensus forged at the shooting site in Rangeli, Morang district.

Influential local figures and governing bodies wanted a change in the name of the movie, and the production team, in a gesture of goodwill, abided by their request.

Although the name has been revised, the movie's script remains untouched, they informed.

The film ‘Rangeli’ is set to be premiered on the auspicious day of Mahashivratri on March 8 next year.

The film has a crowd of stars including Dayahang Rai, Miruna Magar, Arpan Thapa and Prabin Khatiwada.

The shooting of the film will start on September 6.

Arjun Subedi is its writer and director.

Sushan Prajapati is handling the cinematography of the film.
