CPN-MC decides to recall Minister Modi

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Aug. 14: Anita Devi Sah of the Janamat Party led by C.K. Raut is scheduled to take the oath of office and secrecy as minister on Monday morning. Kiran Pokharel, Press Advisor to President Ram Chandra Paudel, confirmed on Sunday night about the swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed minister. 

“Sah has been invited for the swearing-in ceremony to be held at the Office of the President at 10 am on Monday,” Pokharel told The Rising Nepal.

According to Dr. Sharad Singh Yadav, spokesperson for the Janamat Party, the swearing-in ceremony would be held at the Office of the President, Sheetal Niwas, at 10:00 am on Monday. 

Talking to The Rising Nepal, Dr. Yadav said that his party recommend her name a long time ago, and an information about her swearing-in ceremony was received from the Office of the President on Sunday evening. 

Sah is also the Secretary of the Janamat Party, and a member of the House of Representatives elected under the proportional representative (PR) category.

Sah has been working in various responsibilities of the Party since its inception. She participated in the forefront of the farmers’ movement. Under the leadership of Sah, who has also served as party in-charge of Dhanusha district, a farmers’ movement was launched in Portaha of Dhanusha.

Earlier, a meeting of the ruling CPN (Maoist Centre) decided to withdraw Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Aman Lal Modi from the Council of ministers to vacate the post of the Minister for Janamat Party.

Earlier, Janamat Party had quit the government on March 31 after Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ denied the party to give the Ministry of Industry. 

After Janamat Party failed to get the demanded ministry, the then Minister for Water Supply Abdul Khan appointed from the party tendered his resignation on March 31. But again, Prime Minister Prachanda managed to convince the Janamat Party to join the government by vacating the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration to it.

Meanwhile, Rss adds: The ruling CPN (Maoist Centre) has decided to recall Minister of Federal Affairs and General Administration Amanlal Modi from the cabinet.

A meeting of the office-bearers of the Maoist Centre held today at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar took the decision to recall party leader and Minister Modi, party’s secretary Devendra Paudel told the RSS.

Earlier, Prime Minister and Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ had stated to bring the Janamat Party on board the government.

At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha briefed the party leaders about the country’s latest situation on law and order.
