GP Koirala's birth centenary being marked today

Kathmandu, July 3  : Former President of Nepali Congress and former Prime Minister the late Girija Prasad Koirala's birth centenary is being marked today across the country by organizing several programmes.    

Koirala who was born in 18 Asadh 1981 had passed away in 6 Chaitra 2066 BS.    
On the occasion, NC's sister and benevolent organizations are organizing various programmes, including blood donation, fruits distribution, talk programme and illumination events. 

   
Former President Koirala had spearheaded the epochal peace process to bring the then rebel CPN (Maoist) that had waged armed struggle to the mainstream politics and establish republic in the country.    

Koirala had served the country as a five-time Prime Minister and NC President for long time. (RSS)
