By TRN Online, Kathmandu, June 27: Sangita Dhakal came to the health camp carrying a 7-month son and 3-year daughter.

Since her daughter was found to have moderate malnutrition in the camp a year ago she has been visiting the health camp regularly for the follow-up.

Two child health camps were organized on the 21st and 22nd of May at Shree Indrawati Secondary School, Jyamdi and Shree Bramhayani Secondary School Gairibisaume of Mandan Deupur Municipality in coordination with Care and Development Organization (CDO Nepal).

Altogether 320 children benefited from the camp including school students as well as the children of the community.

Addressing the attraction of junk and readymade food in rural communities, the nutritional corner was set so as to provide nutritional counselling to the school’s students and to the mothers of newborns.

Care and Development Organization has been conducting the Safe Motherhood and Child Care Project since August 2021 in wards 5,6 and 12 of Mandan Deupur Municipality.
