There will be no shortage of chemical fertiliser this year: PM Prachanda

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, June 23: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ said that there is a reserve of 71,000 metric tons of chemical fertilizer available in various depots.

Addressing the queries of a member of the House of Representatives (HoR) Abdul Khan today PM Prachanda said that Nepal imported 351,000 metric tonnes of chemical fertilizer since July 2022.

PM Prachanda said that an additional source of Rs 23 billion above the previous Rs 15 billion is ensured for the supply of fertilizer.

He said that the onus is extended to the federal government for the import of fertilizer and to the provincial government and local levels for the mobilization of fertilizer.

The PM said that a digital system is implemented for the supply and distribution of fertilizer.
