4 dead, 8 injured in Rukum West Jeep accident

By Raju Lamichhane, Rukum West, May 25: A jeep has met with an accident at the Banphikot Rural Municipality - 8, Thuli in Rukum West.

It has been said that an accident took place on Thursday morning where four people has been killed on the spot and eight others received injuries. 

From the accident spot Nabaraj Pun of Sanibheri Rural Municipality - 3 said that a jeep having registration number Lu 1 Ja 1747 heading towards district headquarters Khalanga from Sanibheri Rural Municipality -5 Melchaur met with an accident at the Motikhola of Duli.

In the accident, Sanibheri Rural Municipality - 5's Deuchan Khatri, Karna Bahadur Batha, Banphikot Rural Municipality -8's Rekha Khatri and her son died. Similarly, eight people have been injured.

The full detail of the accident is yet to come.

It has been said that the jeep fell some 400 metres down from the road.
