Sindhupalchowk, May 21 : The Melamchi municipality of Sindhupalchok has come first in local level financial good governance risk assessment. Melamchi stood first in district by obtaining 89.5 per cent marks in the preliminary results for the financial year 2078/79.
In the assessment, Melamchi got
92.86 per cent in planning, budget and program management, 97.93 in
implementation capacity and management, 100 percent in accounting and
reporting, 81.25 in monitoring and evaluation and audit and 85.29 in revenue
management. The evaluation was carried out by the district coordination
committee.
Likewise, Chautara Sangachokgadhi
Municipality got 66 per cent, Bhotekosi Rural Municipality got 65, Bahrabise
Municipality got 64, Tripurasundari Rural Municipality got 61.5, Balefi Rural
Municipality got 60.5, Lisangkhupakhar rural municipality got 54.5,
Panchpokhari Thangpal Rural Municipality got 54, Jugal Rural Municipality got
50, Sunkoshi rural municipality got 42.5 points and Helambu Rural Municipality
got 41.5 per cent in the evaluation.
Melamchi was also the first in the
financial year 2077-78 by getting 71.5 points.
The Ministry of Federal Affairs and
General Administration will now check its quality and get the final results of
the municipality, shared Arpana Shrestha, Head of Information Technology Branch
of Melamchi municipality.

Kumar Dhital said that the goal is to achieve more than 90 percent marks in
both evaluations in the coming year. After the evaluation of the municipality,
Mayor, Aitaman Tamang, and deputy Mayor, Uma Pradhan, said that they will work
to be the first at the local level in the coming years too. (RSS)
