Kathmandu, May 19: Nagarik Unmukti Party has withdrawn nation-wide shutdown programme announced from May 20-24.
Issuing a press release on Friday, senior vice-chairperson of the party, Damodar Pandit, said the nation-wide shutdown programme has been withdrawn after Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' announced to release the report of Lal Commission in the Parliament while the bill on criminal offense has already been tabled in the Parliament.
The statement reads, "The nation-wide shutdown programme has been postponed until next notice as the Prime Minister expressed commitment in the parliament to release its leaders and cadres after amending the laws."(RSS)
