Govt decides to send ordinance to Prez on loan shark

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 2: The government has decided to send an ordinance related to loan-shark to President Ram Chandra Paudel with a view to resolving problems of the loan shark victims.

Government spokesperson and Minister for Communication and Information Technology Rekha Sharma informed after the Cabinet meeting today that the ordinance will be sent to the President today itself.

"With a view to solving the problems related to usury or loan shark by means of legal provision, the meeting of the Council of Ministers decided to send an ordinance to the President today," said Minister Sharma.

Talking with the journalists after the Cabinet meeting at Singh Durbar today, she said that discussions were also held to amend some related Acts for releasing some prisoners including Resham Chaudhari.
