55 new cases in 24 hours, active cases stand at 252

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 2: 55 new cases (RT-PCR and antigen tests combined) of COVID-19 have been confirmed on Tuesday while 53 people recovered from the disease.

In 180 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the past 24 hours, 22 people were found infected with SARS-CoV-2, informed the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in its regular update on Tuesday. Whereas, 33 positive cases were found in 1,538 Antigen tests in the last 24 hours. 

Currently, there are 252 active cases of COVID-19 across the nation.

So far, 12,030 people have lost their lives due to COVID-19 in Nepal.
