Nepal seal ACC Men's Premier Cup Final spot

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, April 29: Nepal reached the final of the ACC Men's Premier Cup after the rain-affected match was cancelled on Saturday.

Following heavy rainfall, the match remained undecided Nepal entered into the final on the basis of the group winner. 

Before rain disrupt the match Kuwait was chasing a target of 282 given by Nepal and Kuwait scored just 37 runs in 8.3 overs by losing 6 wickets.

Batting first, Nepal scored 281 runs losing nine wickets from their stipulated 42 overs against Kuwait during their ACC Men's Premier Cup semi-final match at Kirtipur on Saturday.

Batting first Nepal had set the target of 282 to Kuwait with the help of two half-centuries hit by Rohit Paudel and Kushal Malla respectively. 

Paudel hit 94 whereas Malla scored 57 runs. Similarly, Kushal Bhurtel scored 43 runs.

From the Kuwait side, bowlers Mohammed Aslam and Adnan Idrees took 3 wickets each. 

The rain-affected match was reduced to 42 overs from the total 50 overs. 

Meanwhile, UAE reached into final as the run affected 2nd semi-final match of the ACC Men's Premier Cup winning over Oman by 2 runs following the DLS method.

Nepal will face UAE in the final on Monday.
