During the meeting held at the Prime Minister's official residence Baluwatar, they thanked the government for its equal approach to recognising those losing lives in the conflict as martyrs.

They drew the government's attention to ensure equitable compensation, relief and reparation to the victims representing the rebel and the State sides through the Truth and Reconciliation Bill.

In response, the head of the government said he had equal respect for all who sacrificed their lives for the cause of socio-political transformations in the nation and the issues of victims would be addressed as per the spirit of the Comprehensive Peace Accord, according to the Prime Minister's Secretariat. (RSS)
