Kathmandu, April 1 : The CPN (UML) has drawn the attention of the government to take immediate steps to solve the current economic crisis of the country.
The party's secretariat meeting held today discussed about the current economic crisis of the country and the problems of the citizens who are suffering from usury and decided to draw the attention of the government to take immediate steps to solve those problems, says a statement issued by UML Secretary General Shankar Pokharel.
The meeting also demanded the government take concrete initiatives to solve the liquidity crisis and reduce the interest rates of banks, financial institutions and microfinance to keep them within the prescribed limits.
The party concluded that the economy of the country was becoming problematic in all sectors with the trade deficit continuously increasing and the national production decreasing steadily. (RSS)
