Taplejung sees off-seasonal snowfall

By Chandra Pandak, Taplejung, April. 1: Taplejung district has been witnessing off-seasonal snowfall these days. 

With the rain and the snowfall in the high mountainous region repeating daily in the district.

According to locals, heavy snowfall was recorded in the high mountainous region on Friday night. 

Local said that though this is not a season, snowfall becomes normal with the starting of rain these days. 

Mountainous regions of Phaktanglung Rural municipality -6's Ghunsa and Phale of Lelep, and ward number 7's Olanchunggola, Yangma among other places witnessed snowfall. 

A local of Phale Mingma Sherpa informed that snowfall covered up the human settlement of Ghunsa and Gyambla.
