We will create environment of trust, respect for all: newly appointed DPM and Defence Minister Khadka

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar. 31: Newly appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Purna Bahadur Khadka has vowed to make the government very successful by creating a situation of trust and respect for everyone.

He said so while assuming the office after taking the oath of office and secrecy.

DPM and Defence Minister Khadka termed the defence ministry as very important one and expressed commitment that he will move ahead with consultation with all related stakeholders.

The Minister said the minimum common programme of the ruling parties will be made ready within a few days, which will set priorities and policies for reform of the government.

"This ministry is very important. Taking this into consideration, we will take instruction from the Prime Minister and move forward in consultation with the Chief of Army Staff and other related officials. We will create a sense of common effort and trust among all," he said.
