Banepa, March29 : Gandaki Province Chief Minister Shalikram Jammakattel has laid emphasis on tangible performance of the province and local governments.
At a programme organized by Banepa
municipality on the occasion of its 42nd establishment day on Tuesday, he also
suggested to the local governments to not only engross their efforts in tiny
projects.
CM Jammakattel urged all government
agencies to design and deliver development works tangibly aligning the needs of
the society.
"As there is representation
reflecting societies from ward to the centre, it has facilitated development
aligning the people's aspirations", he noted.
Also on the occasion, CM
Jammakattel expressed his commitment to work in collaboration with local level
to carry out development works.
Bagmati province assembly member
Kanchan Chandra Bade Shrestha stressed the need for the province government to
channelize support to manage Banepa city.
Coordinator of District
Coordination Committee, Kavrepalanchowk Deepak Kumar Gautam demanded province
government to support in the development of emerging alternative city of
Kathmandu, Banepa, as a well-managed municipal area through its town
development project.
On the occasion, Banepa
municipality had honoured long-serving teachers and employees of the public
schools.
