Minister Khan pledges to provide pure drinking water to people

Ranjha, March 18 : Minister for Drinking Water Abdul Khan said the government was working with commitment to provide pure drinking water to the people.     

At a press conference organized by Janmat Party Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolis committee in Nepalgunj on Saturday, Minister Khan claimed that his ministry was untiringly working to materialize the constitutionally-guaranteed right of the citizen to access pure drinking water.     

"The Constitution has guaranteed every citizen their right to access pure drinking water", he said, adding, "I have engaged my all-out efforts being cautious of the statutorily-protected right of the citizen to this effect".     

Minister Khan directed the subordinate agencies to devote their efforts to provide drinking water to the doorsteps of the people.     

He noted that Nepal could utilize mineral water flowing through several rivulets to contribute to bring the country to prosperity.(RSS)
