Kathmandu, March 12: Member of Parliament and Nepali Congress central committee member, Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has said quality education should be in the State's priority.
She said this while inaugurating the second unit of Ullens School at Bansbari here today. "Education development is the backbone of the nation's progress. So, providing quality education to the citizens should be the State's top priority," she added.
Established in 2006 with a grant from Baron Guy Ullens and Myriam Ullens of Belgium, the non-profit Ullens Education Foundation (UEF) has established itself as a leader in progressive education in Nepal, inspired by the pedagogy of Bank Street College of Education in New York.
Rana, also the Chairperson of the Ullens School Management Committee, shared that Ullens School was established 17 years ago with the goal of imparting quality education in Nepal and the second unit of the school is started at Bansbari with the efforts of the students, parents, school staff, Ullens Foundation and all stakeholders.
The school will start classes from Grades 1 to 8 in the current academic session.
On the occasion, Ambassador of China to Nepal Chen Song said Ullens School has made an important contribution to providing quality school education in Nepal.
Ullens Education Foundation's chairperson Som Paneru shared that Ullens School is in service for a long with the objective of providing access to all to quality education. (RSS)
