Nepal defeats UAE by 177 runs, retains ODI status

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar. 12: Nepal registered a huge win of 177 runs against (United Arab Emirates) on Sunday at the TU International Cricket Stadium, Kirtipur under the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2

Batting first Nepal had set a target of 249 runs for UAE. In response, UAE became all-out in 22.5 overs by scoring just 71 runs.

With this victory, Nepal retained ODI (One Day International) status. 

On the victory of Nepal, bowler Lalit Rajbanshi took 5 wickets by giving just 20 runs with 2 maiden overs in 7.5 overs. 

Similarly, Sandeep Lamichhane took 2 wickets whereas bowlers Sompal Kami, Dipendra Singh Airee and Gulsan Jha took a single wicket each.
