UML decides to nominate Shakya as vice-presidential candidate

Kathmandu, March 11: The CPN (UML) has decided to nominate the party's vice-chairperson Astha Laxmi Shakya as the candidate of Vice-President.
A Secretariat meeting held at the party headquarters, Chyasal, this morning took the decision to this effect, said deputy general-secretary, Pradeep Gyawali.
The discussion was held on inclusive representation in presidential and vice-presidential posts in the meeting, he added.
Similarly, the meeting also carried out a review of the recently held presidential election, mentioning Gyawali. Nominations are being filed for the election of Vice-President today.
