Candidacy filing for Vice President tomorrow

Kathmandu, March 10:  The nomination of Vice President is scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday. The election to the Vice President will take place on March 17.     

The Election Commission has informed that candidacy of Vice President could be filed from 9:00am to 2:00pm at election officer's office set up at International Conference Centre, New Baneshwor. Similarly, list of the Vice President nominees will be published from 2:00 to 3:00pm, while the objection, if any, can be filed before 6:00 pm the same day

Moreover, the election schedule is that EC will have final publication of the names of Vice President candidates on Sunday from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. Before this, investigation would be conducted on the complaints, if any, on the nomination. If any candidate wants to withdraw candidacy, he/she can withdraw it 0before 1:00pm to 4:00pm.     

The Election Commission has directed the election officer to register the candidacy of Vice President having the gender or community different from the newly elected President.(RSS)
