Construction of Integrated Customs Check Post Begins in Bhairahawa

By Laxman Paudel, Bhairahawa, Feb 9: The government has provided land for the construction of an integrated customs check post (ICP) in Bhairahawa. The 52 bigha land which was acquired and owned by the Ministry of Urban Development has been provided to the ICP construction company. 

On 5th August 2005, Nepal and India agreed to establish the ICP to facilitate trade across the borders. 

The ICP has already been established and started in Birgunj and Biratnagar. 

However, its construction reached in the final stage in Nepalgunj.  The construction will soon be started in Rupandehi. 

The land has been provided to the K.S.M Bashir Mohd And Sons, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh for the construction.

Head of Bhairahawa Customs Office, Mani Ram Paudel, said that land has been acquired and provided to the construction company.
