By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb 9: Minister for
Communication and Information Technology Rekha Sharma has directed agencies
under the Ministry to present plans for improvement within a week.
She instructed so at the half-yearly review meeting
of the agencies under the Ministry which was attended by the heads of the
agencies held at the Ministry today.
The Communication Minister asked the heads of the agencies
to formulate plans that meet the public aspiration as the people have had a
great expectation from the present government.
She also reminded the agency heads of timely
accomplishing the commitments made by them to the Ministry.
"Whatever you have been doing, do it effectively keeping results in mind. Please, forward plans that can be carried out," Minister Sharma, who is also government spokesperson, said, adding, "Please make plans in line with the existing laws and allocated budget."

On the occasion, she directed the Nepal
Telecommunication Company (Nepal Telecom) to ensure that mobile phones work
well along the highways and there is no network problem.
Minister Sharma also highlighted that capital
expenditure has not been satisfactory and instructed the heads of the agencies
under the Ministry to forward plans so that target of capital expenditure is
