Fake liquor factories raided in Valley

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 29: Police have raided the fake liquor production and black-marketing factories of national and international brands in the Kathmandu Valley.

A special team deployed from the Valley Crime Investigation Office of Nepal Police has found a group involved in fake liquor production and black marketing.

According to SP Krishna Prasad Koirala, Spokesperson at the Valley Crime Investigation Office, following a long investigation, a group involved in the production and Black Marketing of fake liquors has been arrested today.


Fake Khukuri Rum was found in the Next Test Liquor Store of Lalitpur Metropolitan City - 13, Kupandole operated by Niraj Upreti in a police raid. Following the investigation, police found a related group involved in fake liquor production and black marketing.


Similarly, Police confiscated chemicals used in making fake production of branded liquors, empty bottles, revenue stickers and machines used for labelling and packaging from Tikathali of Mahalaxmi Municipality -5, Lalitpur.


Police have revealed that the S.T. Liquor Store, operated by Dharmi Gaudel was involved in the production of fake Khukuri Rum and Ruslan Vodka. 


According to police, the confiscated fake liquor items were- 

- Golden Oak - 6 bottles

- 8848 Vodka - 48 bottels

- Muglang - 420 bottels

- 2020Apple - 30 bottels

- Khukuri Rum - 92 bottels

- Ruslan Vodka - 132 bottels


Empty bottles of the confiscated fake liquor items were-

- Khukuri Rum - 393

- Double Black - 15

- Red Label - 13

- Black Label - 5

- Jack Daniel - 65

- Signature Green - 67

- Ruslan - 58

- Signature Red - 35

- Golden Oak - 232

- Old Durbar - 23

- 8848 Vodka - 6

- Icinic Vodka - 60
