Education Minister pitches for transformation in education

Kathmandu, Jan 26: Minister for Education, Science and Technology Shishir Khanal has said he would move forward working together with all for transformation in the country's education sector.     

He said this while speaking in a programme to unveil the statue of the late Dhakal Dhwaj Thapa, president of the founding management board of the Grameen Adarsha Multiple Campus at local Tarakeshwar-11 today.     

The Education Minister said the education sector in Nepal is in a complicated situation and he would consult and coordinate with the leaders and experts on education for transforming it.     

"The country's education is in a complex situation. A big infrastructure has to be built in the education sector. I will work to reach textbooks to schools in time and enhance the quality of education," he reiterated.     

Minister Khanal said managing eight million students and around 500 thousand teachers together with raising the quality of education is challenging, but he would make his best efforts to improve the situation. (RSS)
