By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 17: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has administered the oath of office and secrecy to newly appointed ministers.

 

The ministers were appointed as per the recommendation of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda.'

 

President Bhandari administered the oath at a special ceremony held at the Office of the President, Shital Niwas.


President Bhandari administered the oath to Rajendra Lingden, Chair of Rastriya Prajatantra Party and HoR member, as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Energy and Water Resources, Rekha Sharma of CPN (Maoist Center) as the Minister for Communication and Information Technology.


Similarly, Aman Lal Modi and Sudan Kiranti of CPN (Maoist Center) have been sworn-in as the Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration and Minister for Tourism, Culture and Civil Aviation.

 

Similarly, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' administered the oath to state ministers, including Sushila Sripali of Maoist Center as state minister for Physical Infrastructure.

 

Likewise, Dr. Bimala Rai Paudyal, Padam Giri, Bhagavati Chaudhari and Hari Upreti from CPN (UML) have been sworn-in as ministers. Dr. Paudyal has been given foreign ministry while Giri is named as Minister for Health and Population.

 

RPP's Bikram Pande has been sworn-in as minister for Urban Development while Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan of the same party has been Minister of Law and Dipak Singh of the same party has been sworn-in as state minister for energy.

 

Dol Prasad Aryal and Shishir Khanal of the Rastriya Swatantra Party have been sworn-in as Minister for Labour and Minister for Education respectively. Dr. Toshima Karki of the same party has been sworn-in as state minister of Health and Population.
