Gandaki province speaker takes oath of office

Lekhnath, Jan 14: Gandaki Province Chief Prithvi Man Gurung has administered oath of the office to the newly-elected Speaker of the province Krishna Prasad Dhital. 

The province chief administered the oath of office and secrecy to the Speaker amid a programme held at his residence. Simalchaur, on Saturday evening. 

Also present on the occasion were Chief Minister of the Gandaki Province Khagaraj Adhikari, ministers, opposition party leader and province assembly members representing the Gandaki province. 

Dhital was elected to the post securing 32 votes in the election held on Saturday. His close contender Saraswoti Aryal of the Nepali Congress received 26 votes. (RSS)
